Branding and Visual Identity
Bacio — meaning kiss in Italian — is a Cebu-based gelateria offering handcrafted, authentic Italian gelato. More than just dessert, Bacio captures the magic of summer romance — one filled with sun-drenched afternoons, charming views, and the sweet, simple joy of a perfect scoop.

The client wanted a brand identity that would be dreamy, fresh, and deeply romantic — an escape in a cone. It had to feel light and carefree, yet premium and artsy, evoking the unmistakable charm of Italy in the summertime.
The brief called for a visual identity that would evoke a sense of warmth and youthful sweetness while also having a feel that is distinctly Italian. Also, the client's onjective was to stand out in a saturated dessert market. We were tasked to create a visual world where each scoop tells a story.
The centerpiece of Bacio’s identity is a logo that blends whimsy and elegance. The team created a stylized rose bloom that is subtly shaped like a scoop of gelato to represent both romance and indulgence.
We added a modified script typeface that is expressive, personal, and evocative of handwritten love notes. The logo acts as a poetic visual metaphor - a kiss from Italy in every scoop and flavor.
The color palette is inspired by the bright and pastel hues of the Italian summer with the colors named after the best-selling decadent gelato flavors. The addition of vibrant colors with pastels come together to give the brand a fresh and romantic summer vibe.
The team designed supporting visual elements to continue the brand story. We added delicate line illustrations of iconic gelato flavors and fresh ingredients. This is to ensure that every visual touchpoint, from the gelato cup to the store elements reinforces the Italian feeling of la dolce vita.
Bacio’s brand identity captures the emotional essence of Italian summers. The visual language is light and flirtatious, designed to make every scoop feel like a little love affair. A kiss with every taste.
Since its launch, Bacio has carved out a distinct niche in Cebu’s dessert scene — not just for the quality of its gelato, but for the charm behind the brand.
